Purple hair + other randomosities

 So I tried to dye my hair blue with Manic Panic semi-permanent dye, but it came out TERRIBLE. I guess I kind of expected it since blue + yellow = green but seriously, my hair looked like what I can only describe as Oscar the grouch being obliterated and his remains splattering all over my hair. Yeah.......it was that bad.

So I had a little bit of my Fuschia dye left from before and I diluted the crap out of it and tried to overlay it on top of the green/blue fiasco. Turned out okay but now my hair has a lot of random color streaking. In some ways, it's kinda cool but at the same time, it's a little weird looking in person lol. Well at least it's only semi-permanent. I'll enjoy/hate it while it lasts. :P

It does have an ombre effect at the tips, which kind of just happened accidentally because my tips were much more on the 'whiter' side of blonde than the rest of my hair.

The contacts I got are Honoo Violet lenses or something like that, I got these ShoppingHolics I believe. lol I forget. This is what it looks like in room light.

My makeup station. I got another container thing from Target (on the left side) to store all my big brushes and BB creams and etc stuff. I like that the brush holder is actually meant for a blowdryer lol

My mascara stash. I honestly do not even know why I buy mascara. I don't know if this is considered "a lot" or "little" to most girls but seriously, I think I've used all of these maybe like once or twice. I might do a review on all of them esp. for girls like me because I have NO LASHES. I mean, you know girls say that all the time (esp Asian girls) but no really, I really have very short lashes that are almost invisible. So if I want dramatic, I just use falsies. They are so much easier! The only mascara I have not used at all yet is the Falsies volume express one by mabeline (it's the pink one). My favorite/most used mascara is a combination of Lash Accelerator and that black Loreal waterproof mascara next to it. LOOVE that Loreal one! Makes my almost non existent lashes exist!

On a last random note, my boyfriend got me a DeathAdder as an early bday present LOL. The DeathAdder was actually my first gaming mouse which I bought super long ago (I believe 3-4yrs ago??) and it broke on me like a few weeks ago. It was the best mouse ever. Countless games of Counterstrike, Left4Dead, and LoL were played with that mouse. Then I had to substitute a shitty mouse to play LoL until now. YAYYY love this mouse!! /geeking

Girl next door Blonde

So a while back I ordered this awesome blonde wig on ebay. Although I liked it, one thing I hate about generic long wigs are that they are just straight and have no style and also they tend to be really HEAVY. So to fit my face a little better and to give the wigs a 'style' so they look a bit more realistic, I cut my own wig! I've actually done this in the past with my other wigs but I was a bit lazy lol. Plus, even though I've been cutting my own hair for years and years, cutting a wig is tricky because once you mess up, it WON'T grow back (unless some magical spell is casted upon it but ya know....) I took the risk and carefully cut the bangs and the hair a bit to resemble real hair styles.

My reference was actually Hilary Duff from back when she did Lizzie McGuire. LOL that and Reese Witherspoon. I wanted this blonde wig to give me that........"Girl next door" blonde hair. xD I think it worked pretty well.

Okay, are you guys ready???? I am about to camera whore out this post. LOL Honestly, I am in love with this color! But I'm sad because I know it's going to fade :/ I do miss my blonde though. But knowing how L'oreal dyes work, this will probably fade out to a light, strawberry blonde in about 4 weeks. I really love this color though!

(I promise you I'm not narcissistic. Not all the time anyway.)

SHORT HAIR ONCE AGAIN

80's Sassparilla Throwback Du

Just a quick post because my hurr looks FABo today. :D

Except I forgot all my makeup in Patrick's car, so my face will not look as equally FABo today. But that's okay. SEE ME WORLD?!! WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET.

It started off like this. I braided my hair into little sections, which inevitably made me look mental or a bad version of Snoop Dogg. Mock as you may, the end result would be fab.

Sleep on it.

Wake up.
Then unfurl the braids and TADA. Pretty, silky, crimped goodness. Om nom nom.

My favorite thing to do with this style is to part my hair in half and throw the top section up like a pony tail. This creates the 80's Sassparilla Throwback Du. Don't ask what it means I just thought the name was appropriate.

 My hair looks shorter here, but it's a good kind of short. My mom calls it "Mariah Carey" hair. I guess she's referring to the 80's Mariah because she doesn't even know what current Mariah looks like. lol

ASYMMETRICAL HAIR

Alot of people have asked me about my hair because when they see it they usually think I'm just tucking my hair to one side. Then they realize I really have two different lengths to my hair.

Left side

Right side

It used to be a lot shorter on the right side, like to my ear I think.
I don't have a reference photo at the moment but it was pretty--
cool looking? I suppose....

I think most people think my hair style is pretty "weird", for lack of
better term, but others think it's cool and they want to know
how to get it done and make it look right. 

Well first of all, remember that it looks cool when you first get

it cut but then as it grows (as you can see...) it doesn't look as
cool as when you first got it cut. You can keep maintaining the

style or just let it grow out and pretend it never happened. 

I just want my hair to grow out in general which is why I haven't

cut it off. At first it seemed kinda weird because my left side was

growing really fast but after a while I've learned to embrace it.

As you might guess, I cut my hair myself. Most salons wouldn't

really suggest something as dramatic as this because they're going

to think it looks weird on you and because they don't want liability

for fucking up your hair. So my advice is that you get a somewhat

asymmetrical cut and then cut it shorter or style it yourself or ask 

someone to do it for you. 

Anyway, it's FANIME weekend already! Unbelievable. Time goes

by so fast! So I'll be in NorCal this weekend. Woot woot!

PS, I hate being a redhead usually but this bleached color is 

growing quite fondly with me lol. I'm wondering if I should

keep it a bit longer before I dye it to my dark ask brown color.

Hmm....shall see. Most likely I'll end up dying my hair at Fanime

or something.

HURR DAY

Guess who got their hurrr did? MEEE! :D


I got my brownish blackish hair dyed a nice blue black and got a hair cut as well. I had this gnarly asymmetrical hairstyle for a while and it grew out really funky. It was time for a change! 


I got some extensions too just for fun. :) My actual hair is pretty short still....well, at least one side is super short.
